Walking down River Street is like taking a step back in time. Bordering the thriving river port on the Savannah River, the 2nd largest port on the East Coast, the nine-block street is made of cobblestone; and the buildings, which were one-time cotton warehouses that have been restored to showcase their rustic beauty, date back to the eighteenth or early nineteenth century. Today, there are more than 75 Savannah restaurants, shoppes, pubs, and art galleries that visitors and locals alike can enjoy.
The first hotel in River Street East, the Homewood Suites by Hilton Savannah Historic District/Riverfront, is an all-suites hotel in Savannah. The remaining luxury hotels in the transformative Entertainment District in Savannah, GA include, the full-service Hilton Savannah Historic District/Riverfront, the AC Hotel by Marriott Savannah Historic District, and Hotel Anne, a Curio Collection by Hilton.
Additional restaurants and retailers will continue to be added in coming months.
We hope to see you soon at River Street East, Savannah’s newest Entertainment District.
